Steven Gerrard will not extend his contract with Liverpool. It is a decision Jamie Carragher believes is right.

It is expected that the popular player who scored twice on penalties for The Reds New Year’s Day is ready to provide shock news that he gives himself in the English club after this season.

Now says rumor mill that 34-year-old has decided to continue his football career on the other side of the Atlantic when his contract with Liverpool runs out after this season.

Former teammate Jamie Carragher publicized news that sad but correct.

– A sad day for Liverpool and English football with Gerrard-news. All in all I think it is a right decision, wrote Carragher on Twitter.
