No scoring on Zuccarello large victory.
Mats Zuccarello contributed assists when New York rank our rolled over the Buffalo Sabres and won 6-1 at home in Madison Square Garden Saturday.
Zuccarello came not on the scoreboard, but supplied two shots on goal during the first four minutes of the first period. Both, however, was rescued by Sabres goalie Michael Neuvirth.
Just over twelve minutes into the period, the Norwegian man better luck and was credited with a pass assists after teammate Dan Boyle served as increased 3-0.
– It was fun there. We got a blowout here and killed the match rather early, says Zuccarello Nettavisen.
Several attempts
When the period was over stood at 4-0 to Rangers and målfesten continued.
Also in the second period was Zuccarello eager and fired off a shot after only 17 seconds, as Jhonas Enroth Sabres goal saved.
Carl Hagelin had better luck a few minutes later and increased 5-0 Rangers before Sabres got a consolation goal just seconds later.
Just over six minutes into the second half did Zuccarello another attempt to get on the scoreboard, but this was stopped by Enroth.
Jesper Fast delivered match last goal for Rangers 15 minutes into the second period, while the third period was speechless.
Flow
6-1 result took New York made his 10th win in last 11 games. During the same eleven games are Zucca carrying ten målpoeng.
– It has become better and better. Now I am well where I will be and should be, says the Norwegian.
After a varied start to the season, things start to look bright for last year’s Stanley Cup finalist.
– We have little flow. We work well and play as a team. There is good atmosphere in the team and how it should be.
