- The biggest of them all – iTromsø

Jorgen Hjertsen is perhaps better known as Tromsø sports voice, and the speaker at Alfheim, Storm and Bravo. But the whole Tromsø sports voice is also chairman of the local supporters club to Liverpool Liver Birds. Supporter club has 500 members in Tromso, and everyone has a very heavy day after Steven Gerrard and Liverpool confirmed that the legend continues in the team after the season.

– It is very hard to think that his time at Liverpool is over soon. He has been faithful, a monument, legend and is the biggest of them all, says Liver Birds chairman Jørgen Hjertsen to iTromsø.

Collect Bastard

To start Hjertsen tribute to Steven Gerrard, the man who has brought home 10 trophies to Beatles town and has played 695 competitive games in the Liverpool shirt. The player who started as a great talent in 1998, after 16 years including winning the Champions League, the League Cup three times and the FA Cup twice. Now gang Liverbids gather at Bastard Bar to reminisce about all the good times.

– We will gather at Bastard to watch the game against AFC Wimbledon. There will probably be lots of talk about Steven Gerrard says Hjertsen.

Rarely have Hjertsen experienced a heavier day than today.

– He meant more or less everything. The times he has been injured, so it has been pressed mood and bad results in a row. But when he comes back, he sees that he bleeds for the club. The way he also welcomes new players and how he is as a person. He has only gotten better over the years, which is absolutely incredible and thinking, tells Hjertsen.

– It was so big

There is no doubt that the passionate Liverpool supporter has a close relationship with the legendary midfielder.

– I can not say that he has been a role model for me since I do not play football, but in my time as Liverpool fan so he has been the best player I have followed the most on. He is simply Mr. Liverpool, says Hjertsen.

– What is your best memory with Gerrard?

– It was a difficult question, because there are so many memories to take off. But if I must choose one, then it must be the Champions League final in Istanbul in 2005. The way he conjures up players on right after we reduced to 1-3 with his power and energy, is something I’ll never forget. It was so big that we got back in the match and win the finals, reminisces Hjertsen.

Next match is a battle many have looked forward to. A clean copy of the FA Cup final from 1988. The finale won Wimbledon 1-0, but it can not happen again if Hjertsen his biggest dream will come true.

– 30 May played the FA Cup final at Wembley – the same date as Gerrard fills 35 years. It is a dream that he will get raise one important trophy before he gives himself.
