Olympic bill of 28 million – Aftenposten

So much cost application to Oslo in 2022.

The application process for the Olympics in Oslo in 2022 cost 28 million kroner for NIF (NIF), writes VG.

– The accounts show a total of NOK 28 million from 2011 to 2014, says communications director Per Tøien in Confederation said.

The largest expenditure has been connection with the voting in 2013 and Norway House during Sochi Olympics last year. The house was used as part of the marketing of Oslo Olympics.

Professor Dag Vidar Hanstad at NIH says it has been an expensive process, but that the most important is whether the NIF has learned something from it.

– Those who were against the Olympic application will again get an argument against NIF leadership. And the chance I sense that someone is going to use, says Hanstad.

Olympic application was rejected when Conservative Storting said no to the Games last October. (© NTB)
