Fourcade with great surprise: – Look at his face – Dagbladet.no

(Dagbladet): There was a weak Norwegian day during biathlon men’s ten kilometers sprint in Russian Khanty-Mansiysk.

Julian Eberhard of Austria shot clean and won narrowly – 1.1 seconds – ahead of German Simon Schempp. This was his first World Cup victory.

Johannes Thingnes Bø was best Norwegian in 7th place.

– I felt good and did what I could. I am a little disappointed skis, says Thingnes Bo told NRK.

He had just one penalty loop, but the whole 47 seconds behind vinnerern Eberhard.

Ole Einar Bjoerndalen (two boom) and Tarjei Bø (wood boom) had a bad day. Bo was number 35. Bjoerndalen number 41.

Fourcade-crack

Several of the favorites failed – and perhaps the greatest French Martin Fourcade, delivered an demorande weak sprint. Already at present shooting was over broken three boom.

– Look at the expression on his face. It is rarely cost, said NRK Andreas Stabrun Smith.

– Oi. We heard that he was tired. It was a bit challenging conditions, and he may not have wanted to be here (in Russia), said colleague Hallvard Hanevold.

– As difficult conditions it was not, said NRK Ola Lunde.

Fourcade ended up with four boom in total, and was in goal for a somewhat shocking 40th place.

Light Bjoerndalen

None of the Norwegian had a superdag the slot.

Tarjei Bo got a penalty loop at present shooting and thus ruined the chances of winning. On standing shooting was two boom – and the Sprints was a disappointing affair for big brother Bo.

Ole Einar Bjørndalen missed once at present – and once standing shooting. Neither Bjoerndalen or Bo was top 30.

Erlend Bjøntegaard and Lars Helge Birkeland did not start.
