Will Ole Einar Bjørndalen (42) taking his 20th World Cup victory? – Dagbladet.no

(Dagbladet): In today’s men’s sprint sets Norway with five hopefuls practitioners to start.

The veteran Ole Einar Bjørndalen go as number 53, and can today take his 20th World Cup victory. Behind follower Johannes Thingnes Bø (58), Tarjei Bo (86), Emil Hegle Svendsen (87) and Erlend Bjøntegaard (94).

Tarjei Bo announced earlier today that it would be the biggest rat race, in the ten kilometers long sprint.

Greater Favorite missed

When we started. Russian Anton Shipulin are the first out on the track.

Johannes Thingnes Bø crosses the finish in third place, 35.5 seconds behind the leader time.



– A fantastic race

Hegle Svendsen is 3.2 seconds behind Fourcade time of 6.2 kilometers.

There was Thingnes Bo pushed further down the list. Ukrainian Sergey Semenov reach the finish just over eight seconds before Thingnes Bo his time, and seven tenths behind Bjorn valley.

– It was a fantastic race today. Ten hits and I went well on skis. I guess it keeps to fourth place, but you never know, said Bjoerndalen to NRK after sprint.

Hegle Svendsen lose much time on the trail, and looks exhausted. On measurements of 8.5 kilometers, is he full minute behind, and all indications are that Bjoerndalen is Norway’s best man today, hopefully with the silver medal.

If the medal Bjoerndalen, it becomes his 41 World Cup medal.
