Antidoping Russia suspended by WADA – VG

The Russian Anti-Doping Agency was Wednesday suspended by the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) for breaking company rules.

A unanimous WADA came to the decision Wednesday night after finding out that the Russian Anti-Doping Agency (RUSADA) has not acted in accordance with the regulations.

Culture Thorhild Widvey sits on the Board of WADA and was in place at the meeting.

Applies six countries

The suspension takes effect immediately with action. A unanimous majority voted to suspend Russia. The country as long as the sanction shall not be present at WADA meetings.

Also laboratories Andorra, Israel, Argentina, Bolivia and Ukraine lost accreditation.

– A unique opportunity

Russia banned from athletics
