LSK Women knocked out of the Champions League after penalty drama – TV 2

LSK Women were close – extremely close to advance to the quarterfinals in the Champions League. In the away game against defending champion Frankfurt supplied yellow Royen brilliant, but eventually had to see himself beaten by penalty shootout.

Sherida Spitse, who had already missed a penalty earlier in the game, sent LSKs last punish outside the goal of Frankfurt. Thus did Mandy Islacker honor to submit Frankfurt ahead in the Champions League in the tenth and final penalty.

Lundh and Lund scored

The right to advancement therefore had to be decided in a penalty shootout. There was Spitse sinner when she missed LSKs last penalty.

Now it is for LSK to shake the disappointment of them as quickly as possible. Already sat waiting Avaldsnes in the cup final. Then LSK hedge “The Double” after the October won the league for the second consecutive year after a hat-trick of Isabell Herlovsen .

Hegerberg-double for Lyon
In the remaining Champions League matches on Wednesday night two Ada Hegerberg and Lyon easily advance to the quarterfinals. 20-year-old, who recently extended his contract with the French team until 2019, scored twice before being replaced after the hour had passed. Lyon won the match 6-0 and superior advances 9-1 win on aggregate.

Caroline Graham Hansen and Wolfsburg also took on to the quarter finals of the Champions League. In the home match against Chelsea won green jerseys 2-0 and secured advancement by 4-1 on aggregate. Graham Hansen played the entire match for Wolfsburg.
