Lund Svindal captured the victory in downhill comeback: – Displays a tremendous boost – TV 2

Aksel Lund Svindal Asked Saturday night to start a downhill for the first time since the World Cup in Beaver Creek in February.

And for a comeback was for the Norwegian alpine star.

Lund Svindal to TV2: – I just gave minds sjukt gas
Lund Svindal was behind Fill almost the entire race, but after a thrilling conclusion in the sunshine in Lake Louise hijacked his victory.

– I just gave minds sjukt with gas because Fillmore had run so fast. It was extremely digg seeing the green light of the goal after fighting so hard for it, says Lund Svindal to TV2 Sport by telephone from Lake Louise.

– Now I just look forward to Sunday, and will fight hard to win the race too. This was a very good start to the season, said a clearly delighted Lund Svindal.

Past victory in the downhill at the World Cup for Lund Svindal came in Bormio on 29 December 2013. He was indeed the best in the downhill portion of the super combination in Wengen a half months later.

Disappointing for Jansrud
For Kjetil Jansrud did not fare. He was not able to follow up on the excellent results in training and ended 0.77 seconds behind Aksel Lund Svindal.

Jansrud ended on a disappointing ninth place. He is, however, a chance to revenge himself during Sunday’s super-G.

– It’s part of the game. Niggles destroys the top of the trench. I feel in good shape, so I come back strongly on Sunday, he said to TV 2 Sport.
