Unstoppable Zlatan sent to Sweden EM – Dagbladet.no

Denmark – Sweden 2-2, 3-4 on aggregate

(Dagbladet): It was described as the biggest fight in Scandinavia for many years. The question was simple. Denmark had to win.

In front a packed Parken Denmark had never the party they had hoped for. Instead it was the man they had feared, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, who was the big hero for Sweden.

And while we here in Norway have longed for championship participation since we were last with the European Championships in 2000, is Sweden now ready for their fifth consecutive European Cup.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic controlled a corner in the 1st half and netted a free kick in the 2nd half. The man who has scored the most times for the Swedish national team of all time, stood up when it counted most, once again for the Swedes.

In the first match he scored its 60th country brawl. In Parken he notched his 61 and 62.

Retired Denmark

– The feeling can not be described. Many were disappointed after qualification. We knew we had a chance. It is absolutely gorgeous to settle here in Denmark, says Zlatan Ibrahimovic to Channel 5, shown on MAX.

The superstar almost lived not answer for themselves before teammates crashed interviewed in wild delight.

34-year-old also came with a hitch to the Danish people.

– The Danes thought I should retire. Instead it was I who retired throughout Denmark.

After the match announced Denmark coach Morten Olsen that he gives with immediate effect. It has been known for some time that this was his final qualifying. After Denmark is not qualified, the question was just whether he would himself immediately.

Smart corner features

In the late reducer in Stockholm Saturday were Danish clear that they would go out for a hundred at home. Both teams had made several changes to the starting lineup for the rematch.

The Danes did as they promised, led by an enthusiastic crowd. After eight minutes, chances are they hoped to get after a corner .

Nicolai Jørgensen won the duel at the front post, Yussuf Poulsen got flicked the ball on. On line threw Kim Källström himself frantically hoping to save Sweden from backwards. The attempt was successful for the Swedish midfielder got a foot on the ball and hit the crossbar.

After the huge opportunity calmed the Danish pressure themselves. Sweden took advantage of the ability to move the ball up the field, and after 20 minutes they played themselves into a corner. And set pieces have Swede trained in the past week.

A rehearsed corner move gave the count they had hoped for. Zlatan Ibrahimovic silky finish sneaked in at the far post.

Pressed stalled

Denmark was dependent on a small miracle for taking into EM with 45 minutes left. Morten Olsen took grip. Thomas Delaney was taken off at halftime. Michael Krohn-Dehli.

But the Danish pressures did not materialize from the start. Sweden was compact and defended well. The Danes had ball – without creating it quite large.

After 60 minutes, Morten Olsen grip anew. Nicklas Bendtner was sacrificed. Morten Rasmussen came.

With 20 minutes left came Denmark’s first chance after the break. A long throw ended up with Christian Eriksen. His was stopped by both Sebastian Larsson and Andreas Isaksson.

Bend it like Zlatan

Quarter before finally became bad to worse for Denmark who had invited to the party. Daniel Agger made a needless foul 23 meters from his own goal. When did Zlatan Ibrahimovic ready.

The superstar chose to go for placement rather than power. He did so successfully.

Zlatan curled attractively over the wall and into the back Kasper Schmeichel. The superstar celebrated with all the Swedish bench, while all audio in the Danish capital came from off the bend in the park.

When it helped little that Denmark first reduced by Yussuf Poulsen before they equalized in stoppage time. Danes were still having two goals. That they never got. Thus, it is Sweden that travel to France next summer.
