Hailed Zlatan with a huge “Z”, then it was replaced with Malmös club logo – Dagbladet.no

(Dagbladet): Tonight’s most interesting Champions League match with Scandinavian eyes are clearly Malmö FFs home meeting with Paris Saint-Germain.

Not because everyone expects a steady played and funny soccer game, but because Zlatan Ibrahimovic returns home to Malmö.

This is the first time superstar meets the parent club in his hometown in a battle of meaning, and Malmo is virtually silent before the city’s great son to turn himself in the ring tonight.

Rager high

Zlatan arrived Skåne together with the rest of PSGs star killer crews yesterday, and then he got himself a pretty special welcome.

The 190-meter high skyscraper “Turning torso,” which is otherwise Scandinavia’s tallest building, was in fact characterized by a giant blue lights to ‘Z’ yesterday afternoon.

When Zlatan met the press conference a few hours later, he was unusually humble. When he was asked if he had expected such a welcome, the answer was:

– Absolutely not. Then I had ljugd. There are not many players get to experience this, but I see it now, and I’ll try to enjoy while it lasts. There was a big “Z” on the Turning Torso, and when we drove through the city by bus so you folks reactions. There was chaos everywhere. It’s actually happening for real, it’s alive. Now I am just trying to enjoy it. I knew I was going to play in the Champions League, but I did not know that Malmö would do it. Now it all depends on them, said the striker, according to Expressen.

Switched

“Z” -a adorned skyscraper at 20 o’clock last night. Then it was replaced with a Malmo FF logo. Soon after he sent the team out a press release to explain the stunt.

– Through this we will encourage all MFF-ers to begin to focus on Wednesday’s match and what is the most important thing with the game, wrote the team.

Previously Hareide club published a lengthy video where 34-year-old comes with a touching tribute to Malmö and the club.

Booked square

There is no doubt that Zlatan appreciate the love of the city, and decided therefore when it became known that PSG and Malmö were to meet, that the whole city should join the party.

He has booked the main town square, so that those who have no ticket for the match, you can watch the game on the big screen there.

– I called to Malmo FF immediately and said, “Book whole apt, for it I should have.” It took some time before I got an answer, but then they called back and said that it was booked. I said, “well,” says Zlatan.

– Should rooting for Malmo

– The perfect scenario tomorrow is that we win, I scored three goals and all shouting my name. But during the game they will all rooting for Malmo, says 34-year-old.

Åge Hareide said yesterday that his Malmo crew not going to focus specifically on Zlatan during the match tonight.

It is easier said than done.

• Malmö-PSG broadcast on Viasat 4 with kick-off at 20.45 tonight.
