Arsenal limped his way to victory – thanks to super-Sánchez and old acquaintance – Aftenposten

Arsenal won on Boxing Day – with help from former Arsenal player Armand Traoré.

Arsenal QUEENS PARK RANGERS 2-1

Queens Park Rangers came to the Emirates Stadium looking for the season’s first away points, after they had lost all of the first eight games on foreign grass.

Also on Boxing Day should however generously defending obliterate poengforhåpningene. Sjefseksponenten was Armand Traoré, who was affiliated with Arsenal from 2005 to 2011. Traoré weak engagements before the break would be fateful for QPR.

Despite the guests got renewed hope after the break, first by Olivier Giroud was expelled, then by Charlie Austin equalized.

– After the expulsion, we knew we were in a battle, says Arsene Wenger to BT Sports said.

– There was great strength of character Today, says Arsenal midfielder Mathieu Flamini.

– We had to fight a little towards the end, so it is very satisfying to have come through a bit of a challenge to get three points, continues Flamini

Alexis Sanchez and Tomas Rosicky scored Arsenal’s two goals. Rosicky played his first game for the start this season, while Sanchez has been Arsenal’s lodestar this fall. Both were brilliant Friday.

Made punish

Already after nine minutes felled Traoré Arsenal star Alexis Sanchez in the box. It seemed unnecessary, especially since Chilean was on his way out of the penalty area as he was tackled.

From the box misses shot however Sánchez right on QPR goalkeeper Robert Green, which made Traoré error was not punished.

How should it not be when QPR full-back made another mistake scant ten minutes before the break.

At one time had Traoré apparently full control of Sánchez ‘position. Seconds later had Sánchez wondered away from his dull orderly and headed Arsenal in the lead.

– Sánchez is the only man he will follow, and then forget him, said Petter Myhre TV 2 studio break.

The former Vålerenga coach added that he would replaced Traore at halftime, on the basis of the Frenchman’s weak defense game initially. Quarter of the second half was Traoré replaced with attack player Junior Hoilett.

Giroud expelled

The offensive QPR booty came as a result of Arsenal striker Olivier Giroud got marching orders.

A frustrated Giroud race against Nedum Onuoha and blow his head against QPR stop’s head. The touch was so marginal that it was far from a nedskalling but Onuoha has gone down, and referee Martin Atkinson showed out Giroud.

– It was incredibly stupid of Olivier Giroud! One can not be both beautiful and smart, wrote the former English striker Gary Lineker on Twitter.

In the Giroud moved towards the tunnel he got a not exactly cheerful glance from Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger, who now apparently would get a far more agonizing night in the dugout.

– It was a deserved red card. Olivier controlled not himself, said Wenger after the game.

With 11 against 10 so suddenly brighter for QPR. Scores possibilities to Harry Redknapp’s men should however get a new kink within minutes. After 65 minutes, the Arsenal Tomas Rosicky ball in good position, before he broadside hit the target.

– It was the first game I started this season and I wanted to show the manager that he can use me more, said Rosicky after the game.

Preparations for Rosicky goal stood Alexis Sanchez for. He dribbled into space outside the box and played the ball to Rosicky at the perfect time.

Thus was thus Sánchez involved in both Arsenal goals Friday. Of Arsenal’s 32 league goals this season, Sánchez now either scored or played it assists pass by 16 of them.

The destination computer Austin

Similar digits can QPR striker Charlie Austin show. Before the match against Arsenal, he had been involved in 13 of 20 league goals QPRs. Austin got a chance to show why when he got the opportunity from the penalty Quarter before the end, after Arsenal’s Mathieu Debuchy had been clumsy in the treatment of Junior Hoilett inside the box.

Austin hammered the ball into the goal from the penalty spot and made with it for new excitement.

And exciting it was to be in the final minutes. QPRs Niko Krancjar was close to head into the equalizer in stoppage time, but Mathieu Flamini averted on the line.

QPR players also shouted penalty when Kieran Gibbs apparently prevented Bobby Zamora from reaching a cross. It happened even further into the future.

Arsenal were eventually able to salvage victory. Now Wenger Men sixth in the Premier League, two points behind Southampton in fourth place.

QPR is number 16, and has two points down to Crystal Palace on relegation place.
