Jansrud best Norwegian, but was outclassed by rival – Aftenposten

After initially it seems that Marcel Hirscher will take a gulp of Kjetil Jansrud World Cup.

It seems already very likely that this year’s World Cup in alpine skiing for men will stand between Kjetil Jansrud and Austrian Marcel Hirscher.

While Jansrud has ravaged speed branches super-G and downhill, is Hirscher difficult to do anything in the slalom and giant slalom.

The latter branch running both, thus Sunday’s World Cup Alta Badia in Giant Slalom a great importance in the overall context.

Initially it was Hirscher who took the first bite. He had starting number 1, and charged down to a time no one would be able to conquer. Closest was Frenchman Alexis Pinturault, which was 16 hundredths behind Hirscher. Thomas Fanara has the third best point before the final round.

Giant Slalom is far from Jansrud favorite exercise, but north man did it anyway best of the Norwegian. He was 3.12 seconds behind Hirscher goal which kept to a 19th place.

Jansrud was not satisfied with conditions in Alta Badia Sunday.

– From my standpoint, and the immediate feeling I get from the start, is that it is difficult, but not so well for everyone, because we’ve been through the same surveying. Today it was extremely here, because it was so fast oppkjørt. It was probably hard to watch TV, but it was småpriller substrate, said Jansrud NTB after the first half of the giant slalom race in Alta Badia.

– It was good for them with the first starting numbers, but us coming a little behind, it becomes hopeless, believed Jansrud.

After Saturday’s super-G races, as Kjetil Jansrud won sovereign, had the Norwegian 592 World Cup points, 152 points more than Hirscher. Sunday, however, indicate much that Hirscher will take a gulp in the summary.

Kristoffersen is usually among those who can match Hirscher in giant slalom and slalom, but 29-year-old disappointed initially Sunday and was 3, 21 behind Hirscher goal.

Leif Kristian Haugen ran out.
