(Dagbladet): Aston Villa – Manchester United 1-1

With six straight wins in the Premier League, Manchester United have climbed on the table and stood with 31 points, in third, before today’s game against Aston Villa.

Aston Villa, however, has struggled a bit, and lay on a 13th place with 19 points.



Victory series broken

Today got Manchester United the opportunity to win their seventh a row, but that did not happen, and it was scored sharing between teams, by scoring of Benteke and Falcao.

– It is very frustrating. I feel that we gave away two points. We started not good enough, and because of it they got a goal, says Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal told the BBC after the game.

– I’m disappointed because we were the best team the first half, and they shall win.

Aston Villa manager Paul Lambert was pleased with how the team managed but not happy with the penalty.

– I think we looked good. The goal was world from Christian, but the expulsion sent us back a little. I do not think the penalty was appropriate, he said to the BBC.



Homemade management

It was the visitors who started best at Villa Park, without coming to the biggest chances.

After 18 minutes it was the home team that went into the lead.

Red Card

With 25 minutes left in full time got Agbonlahor red card after he went too late into a challenge with Ashley Young, and homemade had to finish the fight with one man less. A decision anytime will certainly be discussed.
