Larvik swept over Halden Cup Final – Aftenbladet.no

Did their seventh straight cup gold.

Larvik coasted into their seventh consecutive championship gold in handball Tuesday. The favorites from Vestfold won 35-15 over cup final debutant Halden.

Larvik has played 13 finals in a row and only one of them has the title wholesaler lost. Towards Halden in Oslo Spektrum was vestfoldingene who waited superior.

– They delivered very good. Efforts were good, and it becomes a bit like that today when we have had a longer break, says Larvik coach Ole Gustav Gjekstad said.

Halden caught up to the elite division in the spring, and few had imagined FFK should take until the cup final for the first time.

– We started with too many mistakes, but took us up in the second half, before we got a little bad ending, says veteran goalkeeper Wølner, who has behind him a pro career in Germany.
