Djokovic to semifinal walkover – Dagbladet.no

Without playing the world number Novak Djokovic Thursday ready for the semifinals of the big tournament in tennis in California. Opponent Bernard Tomic withdrew because of a back injury.

Tomic took the decision several hours before the game.

This gives defending champion Djokovic one extra day of rest before he meets Andy Murray in the semifinals. The Final will be played Sunday.

For Tomic was the year his performance the best ever in Indian Wells. It was also the first time that the Australian had taken to the quarterfinals in an ATP Masters tournament.

Murray took further by knock out Spanish Feliciano Lopez with set digits 6-3, 6-4 . The Scot won the brute strength under harsh conditions.

– I think I played a pretty good game. The wind was clearly the hardest today. We struggled both, but I managed to play just a little more solid, said Murray.
