Skinstad. Skinstad withdraws as cross country manager – Aftenposten

Have accepted the new job.

Skinstad becomes regional director of NHO Inland. 50-year-old comes from work as Norway cross boss.

– I look forward to facilitating the business community in Inland will continue to evolve and perform even better in the future, says Skinstad.

He has since 2006 worked federation as sports director and cross country boss. Skinstad has many years business experience, including managerial jobs from Adidas Norway, ØkoKraft and Madshus ski factory.



– Nine wonderful years

Skinstad is in place as Regional Director on 1 August.

– Having been cross country manager in nine years it is good to state that Norwegian cross country has never been stronger. Now I look forward to working for a diverse and exciting industry in inland.

Skinstad gets in their coaches out summer.

– I’ve had nine wonderful years as cross country manager and helped five World Championships and two Olympics. We have reached the goals we have set ourselves, it is a time for everything and I am now ready for new challenges, says Skinstad.

– Now I look forward to taking with me the experience of cross country and add to enable businesses in Hedmark and Oppland will develop further.

– Åge have a lot of credit

Leader of cross committee, Thorbjorn Skogstad, believes Skinstad has done a great job for Norwegian cross country and have great respect for that he feels it is time to do something else.

– We are very grateful for the job Åge has done. He is a popular and respected leader both internally and with all our partners, says Skogstad.

– Åge much of the credit for the cross has the wonderful position we are experiencing today, both sporty and economical.

Cross Country Committee is now starting the process of finding a new leader.

– We will use the time we need and we know there are many good candidates both externally and internally in NSF, says Torbjørn Skogstad.
