Oilers must pay for Vålerenga – sets up bus from Oslo – Aftenposten

According to the Hockey Federation rules must Oilers cover travel costs for Vålerenga trip to Stavanger Thursday.

LONDON (Aftenbladet ): – There is an interesting rule, says Kjetil Boe who is general manager of the Oilers.

The rules for Norway hockey federation says namely that the Oilers have to open your wallet to get Valerenga Stavanger Thursday. The fight was really gone in Oslo, but was rescheduled to Stavanger when VIF upheld in their protest after Friday scandal match. Vålerenga, on his side, escaping semifinal series without charge.

– We actually need to pay to get them to Stavanger Thursday, yes. The rules say that we are obliged to covering the costs for the cheapest way to travel. So when we set up bus from Oslo to Stavanger. The regulations say nothing about residence and stuff, so we envisage that Vålerengas bus returns to Oslo right after the game Thursday. All in all this will cost us about 30,000 pounds. It’s sour money, but we have to deal with regulations, explains Boe.

Since battle sequence is turned on its head, also loses Oilers extra revenue from the fight that should have been DNB Arena next Saturday. The fight is now set up in Oslo.

– Our turnover is about 300,000 pounds more on Saturdays than we do on the other match days. The revenue we miss now, but we can not do much with. We get whatever they home games we are entitled to, so it goes well, it says Boe.

Oilers sells tickets to 100 million – gives profits to charity

Vålerenga filed protest after the fight because 3-2 goals for the Oilers were approved in the game as Stavanger team eventually won 4-3. Not only lost Oilers victory when protest was upheld, the further battle sequence in the rest of the series is also affected. The new game layout means that the Oilers will play home game on Tuesday and Thursday.

Thursday’s match should really gone in Oslo, but has now been moved to DNB Arena to ensure that the Oilers get four home games in the quarterfinal series

– We have taken a thorough round of this and decided several things. We hope that the spectators who were in DNB Arena Friday night feel they got value for money. Therefore we will refund the service fee expenses of the match – even if it was annulled. However, what we are doing is posting all tickets for Thursday’s match, ie Match 3, 100 million ticket. We take 100 million flat for seating, standing room and seating in the restaurant, explains Kjetil Boe who is general manager of Stavanger Oilers.

Oilers head Boe says that several have already paid for tickets to the capital, money they do not get left behind. He asks those concerned to submit documentation to the club.

– We will ask that fans submit documented lost travel expenses in connection with Thursday’s match.
