Høgmo does not miss experience: – The new generation can reach far – Bergens Tidende

No more than 50 caps. Two men with more than 30 games.

Ullevaal Stadium: Per coaching staff presented once national squad where the average age is low and national experience is small.

He does it with a smile and with the conviction that they can live up to expectations.

It all capped with a 16 year old once Once the squad.

Marvelous child with fresh contract at Real Madrid, Martin Ødegaard, the last name Høgmo read out when he presented squad for the match against Croatia in EM qualifying Saturday during the Easter weekend.

Motivational the boss

That he has a team without great continuity carriers, who often have been out on a winter before, does not bother the chief.

He believes Norway manage well without veterans trying to break into a three-digit number caps.

– The first thing that this reflects is that we have a new generation soccer players will characterize the national team for many years. They are extremely enthusiastic and want to be good. There are a lot of speed and technique in this squad and I think it’s incredibly motivating to work with these players, says the trainer told Aftenposten.

The last of the long experience of the national team who disappeared, was Brede Hangeland. He said thank you for taking the front ground EM qualifier last year.

Thus, Per-Mathias Høgmo not had very many players with broad experience in games with the national team to choose from. Those who have not already said from his place on the team, has not been good enough.

Youngsters take responsibility now

55- old from Gratangen is still as little worried.

– Once we have such a situation, so have the young had to take responsibility. It’s funny to see that they do it. We saw already in autumn. Single players take hold in a new way, says Per coaching staff.

He mentions players Stefan Johansen, Mats Møller Dæhli, Alexander Tettey and Per Ciljan Skjelbred as examples of this.

Norway has already played four qualifiers last fall with a layer without the ultimate experience background of the national team. It ended with three victories (against Bulgaria, Malta and Azerbaijan) and loss against Italy at home. Saturday March 27, played the first match in 2015 in qualifying. Norway is third in their group, one point behind Italy and Croatia.

Optimism was great when Høgmo presented squad at Ullevaal stadium yesterday.

Landslaget shall Monday next week go to Marbella in Spain training camp. Then they travel directly to Croatia and match Saturday.

– We are about to bring up a generation footballers that can really go far. The enthusiasm and the skill that these players have is the international flavor, says Per-Mathias Høgmo.

The two best in the group gets directly to the Euro 2016 in France. The best bronze winner from all groups also goes directly forward. The remaining threes out into playoff on a space available.
