Here are nine points which explains scandal meeting in Fire – Aftenposten

All you need to know about why there was a scandal in Fire.

The trouble and uncertainty that has prevailed in the Fire last day can be difficult to understand. Here we give you the whole situation summarized.

1. The occasion: Since relegation has power in Fire been in a vacuum. The Executive Director and Chief of Sports sits acting in their roles – after the resignation of former Fire Chief Roald Bruun-Hanssen – and it is in blue when to get permanent employment. The Board has been sitting on dismissal. The leader Rolf Barmen announced that he was finished in the role. It was also in the cards that there would be major changes at the annual meeting.

2. Nomination Committee: Options Committee recommended a new board with four new members. Away from last fall was Rolf Barmen (Chairman), Mette Nora Saetre (deputy), and Janice Samnøy and Cato Guntveit. It was not a unanimous recommendation, but all of the nomination committee went to reject Samnøy, which would prove to be an important piece at the annual meeting.

3. Kjell Tennfjord: Got tuned as new Fire leader. He signaled in advance that it was very important to him that the entire election committee went through. Tennfjord nevertheless chose not to ask any questions enclosure for the annual meeting, because he would not bind the members should vote. Therefore it was not 100 percent clarified beforehand that he would resign if it were posed bench suggestions.

4. Janice Samnøy: Have been in the Fire Board for the past four years and must take their share of responsibility for the downturn. Read more about her here:

5. Bench proposal: Samnøy was thus rejected by the selection committee, but at the meeting came the announced proposal bench at her. Until hours before the annual meeting was also likely that former general manager of Fire, Bjørndahl should quiet as bench proposals to the Board, but this was never realized. Dahl chose to withdraw the evening before the annual meeting, after talking with Trond Mohn.

6. The choice: Fire becomes chairman and vice chairman elected separately. Kjell Tennfjord and Henrik Lie-Nielsen were both patted unanimously. The last three board seats should be selected from a group of four people: Nina G. Sandnes, Arild Christiansen and Tom Georg Olsen who were nominated by the Nominating Committee – as well as bench proposal Åshild Samnøy. Olsen (187 votes) and Christiansen (160 votes) were both elected with relatively clear margin. Samnøy got 137 votes against Sandnes’ 117.

7. The climax: The most dramatic moment at the annual meeting was when Kjell Tennfjord went on the podium for the second time. The tension was extreme when Tennfjord said these words: “Democracy means the opportunity to choose, to say yes, say no and talk about it a will in the settings one wishes. Democracy also means something else, that one does not always get their way. It is not to accept it, I do not know anything about. The situation has been very difficult for me. I regret it. I orients here that I draw me. “Tennfjord added that the same applied Olsen, Christiansen and Skjelbreid. After Ignition Fjords statement erupted unrest, and hail it with profanity from the audience.

8. Disagreement: Tennfjord has always been clear that they were the Board’s expertise as it was essential for him and that it was the members that the election committee had found until that had the right skills and the expertise he would work with . He stressed that he has nothing personal against Åshild Samnøy. It was still possible to interpret the basis a post former chairman Rolf Barmen had at the meeting that there is something more behind. Barmen conveyed that he felt again in the positive characteristics that were given by Samnøy. The reason for this was that former deputy Mette Nora Saetre held a speech in support of Samnøy. Even said Samnøy that her person was not important, but that it is about who will rule in Fire. In other words: Bench proposal and the choice of Samnøy was important for the fans because it is a proof that there are members who have power in Fire. Not Chairman, nomination or investors.

9. Trond Mohn: Branns main economic supporter has said little in public about elections in Fire. Mohn like stability and tranquility around governance, and supported Kjell Tenn Fjords candidacy as chairman. He called Bjørndahl, which should stand as bench proposals, the day before the annual meeting. Dahl resigned since that candidate.

What now?

There reigns now some confusion around who controls the fire. According Geir Woxholth, law professor at the University of Oslo, is all power in CEO Vibeke Johannessen hands. But she can not do more than just keep the club afloat. Major decisions, such as buying players must a board to decide, and pr. Now do not fire a quorum rule, since only two Directors remain Henrik Lie-Nielsen and Janice Samnøy, in addition to deputy Krister Hoaas.
