Deila fires away: – If Scotland is not ready for these ideas, I can go home … – Aftenposten

Ronny Deila believes his thoughts about the diet is met with skepticism because he is Norwegian.

Diet, fitness and mentality must change that Scotland should be back in football top, according Deila.

– If Scotland and Celtic are not aware for these ideas, I can go home to Norway. There is no problem, said Deila according to The Times’ Scottish edition.

– It is not easy for a Norwegian to say this. Had Louis van Gaal come here and say the same thing, would you sat and nodded approvingly. But I come from Norway, where we are only good at skiing.

– I get annoyed by talking about this. Do you think Andy Murray (Scottish tennis hero) eating chips? With a player that is three to four kilos too heavy, you can forget to meet Cristiano Ronaldo. The physical level there in the top clubs is phenomenal. Should not we try to get there?

– I think you had been shocked by the professionalism of clubs like Manchester City and Chelsea if you had visited them, said Deila.

But Deila depends on the results.

If he gets it, Celtic Revolution could go much by itself. (© NTB)
