This former VIF player inflicted Germany historical loss – Aftenposten

Poland with a shock victory over Germany. Read how it went in tonight’s qualifying matches.

When former Vålerenga player Sebastian Mila scored the 2-0 just before the end , he not only nail in the coffin against the neighbors from the west. He made sure to top the historic evening of Poland in Warsaw.

18 games – zero victories

it was a Poland team that gap had never managed to beat Germany in the football but in the 19.f orsøket really believed his first win over neighbors from the west.

Germany fielded a weakened crew, without key players like Mesut Özil (Arsenal), Sami Khedira (Real Madrid), Bastian Schweinsteiger (Bayern Munich), Marco Reus (Borussia Dortmund) and Benedict Höwedes (Schalke), in addition to Phillip Lahm has added up.

So as Poland, with Captain Robert Lewandowski in the lead , his chance to finally crush the donut in the terrible 0-6-12 statistic of 18 games against Germany.

German domination – no clear cut chances

But it was Germany that was closest in what became an Event poor 1st half in Warsaw. For in the absence of other heavies could Leverkusen’s Karim Bellarabi got a dream opening for national team career, but his shot from an angle coats Wojciech Szczesny left post.

Soon after, Thomas Müller almost alone with the Arsenal keeper, but struggling, he sent ball off the other post. Just before the break could Bellarabi put home a goal, but two great footwork, was replaced by a puny closing mid keeper.

This was aimlessly to break where Poland was on par with the visitors 30 minutes before the German machinery came more time in the last quarter.

Neuer by rare error

When it was a little flattering that it was Poland who took the lead just after the break. Although the Poles defended well, they had no endings on goal until Arkadiusz Milik did the most important thing in football – the score. For in after hitting a shot from the left got Dortmund player Lukasz Piszczek ball and curl it behind the German defense. There ended Bayern duo Jerome Boateng and not least goalkeeper Manuel Neuer at half distance, and Milik was a relatively simple job of controlling the ball in the net with his head.

This ignited the 50,000 eager Poles in the stands, but Joachim Low’s young crew. Shortly after Mario Götze should equalized for the visitors, but the match winner from this summer’s World Cup finals could not outwit Szczesny from close range. Soon after Thomas Müller created a good opportunity, but enough once showed the Polish keeper why he stands for one of Europe’s best club teams.

But when the standard was set for the last half hour in Warsaw.

Dotted with Poland’s second attempt on goal

There, the Germans continued to dominate possession against a defensive wall which spearheads Robert Lewandowski made solid contributions back into the game. But they got it tough to resist the German power, but was once again saved at the last minute.

For the quarter before eventually could Bellarabi got their deserved goal on his debut, but probably once stood Szceszny in the way. And when the last fort for once, was buried, prevented the crossbar German goal. Polish-born Lukas Podolskis cannon resembled his second goal when Poland was beaten 2-0 in the European Championship six years ago, but this time failed man with Polish mother and father, putting score at home.

When used substitute Sebastian Mila equally good opportunity when Germany had sent every man in the attack. After a great work from Robert Lewandowski, ensured that Mila came alone with Manuel Neuer. Man with 14 games in the 2007 season Vålerenga was cold and wide as the ball in the corner behind what many consider to be the world’s best goalkeeper.

So the question is whether the Poles have agreed in the past. For Saturday night was Wojciech Szczesny unstoppable when Poland finally be cheering a victory over Germany.

While this was Germany’s first defeat against Poland, this was the Germans’ first defeat in EM and World Cup qualification since 2007 when Germany lost 0-3 to the Czech Republic.

From there and the controlled Scotland, but then use only the odds of the Celtics Scott Brown and Everton’s Steven Naismith was not traded, ended it with one goal in Glascow.

Ireland had the ability to set scoring record, and was long the form to go past 8-0 win against Malta in 1983 For 18 minutes Robbie Keane had already secured the trick, but Ireland led “only” 3-0 at half time against little Gibraltar. Four goals in the first eleven minutes of the 2nd half, made rekordmakerne 1983 really began to believe to be buried, but the last 34 minutes remained goalless. Thus Ireland won 7-0 and tops Group D after James McClean (2), Wes Hoolahan and Jordan Perez (own goal) made the final four goals.

The Danes went thus the loss, until Lasse Vibe appeared eight minutes before the end, and made a draw.
