The Portuguese has only been dumbfounded by the court once in La Liga this fall and added competitors well behind in the race for the top scorer title. 29-year-old målappetitt does not seem to stop anytime soon.

Both Ronaldo and Gareth Bale suffered slams when Real Madrid battled to a narrow 2-1 win Ludogorets in the Champions League last Wednesday. First Saturday confirmed coach Carlo Ancelotti that star duo would range Sunday’s meeting with Athletic Bilbao.

It would prove to be particularly good news for the Italian.

Benzema glittered

Bale was in fact the waiter when Ronaldo put Real in the lead after just three minutes at the Santiago Bernabéu. A beautiful cross from Bale ended with Ronaldo, who controlled the ball safely in the net with his head.

Karim Benzema has been overshadowed by its far more målfarlige tip colleague in the season beginning, but the Frenchman is also involved in much of the Real Madrid does. Sunday butted him in the 2-0 goal just before the break.

Ronaldo was far from finished with Sunday’s effort. First, he arranged 3-0 for preparation of Benzema and Bale, and then he gave the former an easy job to do 4-0 on an empty net.

Two minutes from time put Ronaldo sentence with his third goal for the day. Thus says the Portuguese with formidable three hat tricks in four matches in the league.

Fire behind Barcelona
