Here, he also got the support of his hero, Ingemar Stenmark, who lost the overall victory in 1975 in a parallel slalom.

They hit by a lengthy chat with NRK before Kristoffersen should run.

– Tjena! A great honor. A big honor to meet you, said Kristoffersen and stuck out his hand.

– In like manner, answered Stenmark and smiled.

Stenmark earlier in February called Kristoffersen “the greatest talent” in a VG interview, and Swede put it mildly price on the label.

– It is sjukt hearing. He is the greatest of all time “by far”. It is especially hearing, said Kristoffersen.

– What do you know about Stenmark, Henry?

– 86 World Cup victories. 46 in giant slalom. 40 in slalom, said Kristoffersen before he was interrupted by Stenmark.

– You know more than me.

– Do not take any advice

Kristoffersen also said that he has studied Stenmark on Youtube, and he has known themselves in how Swede drove and thought the track.

When NRK asked Stenmark had any advice for Kristoffersen, he replied:

– The best advice is not to take any advice. To go its own way. You are so good now, you do not listen to anybody, said the skier.

– I have not heard in so many advice earlier. I heard the father (Lars), and that’s really it. I get to listen to his advice. He is the greatest thing there, smiled Kristoffersen.

After parallellslalåmen however, he had no good answers to what went wrong.

He manages namely not getting a good feeling in these races.

– It’s weird to run. I did not get a sense of anything, says Kristoffersen.
