Surprise in Lahti: – He thinks it’s almost not even – Dagbladet.no

(Dagbladet): Peter Prevc (23) is approaching a historic milestone. The Slovenian phenomenon is just two victories away to equal the record of Austrian Gregor Schlierenzauer (26) who had 13 top positions during a single season in 2008 and 2009.

World Cup leader was also the best in the first half of tonight’s contest in Finnish Lahti, but in the other disappointed he being number five. Instead surprised Austrian Michael Hayböck win – 2,4 points ahead of Norwegian Daniel-Andre Tande (22).

– He thinks it’s almost not even commented NRK Christian Nilssen on the fly.

good Norwegian team effort

the Norwegian jumpers had a good day in what will be next year’s World Cup hill during the upcoming championships in Finland. Tande had forgotten his socks at the hotel before tonight’s race but skipped anyway 126.5 meters and was second before the second round.

In his second jump landed 22-year-old 127 meters. It was enough to be number two overall.

– It was a good competition. I was stable throughout the day, really. I destroy the last jump to beat ski together, but I’m very satisfied with 2nd place, says Tande NRK.

– I think Tande has solved the ground here in a lovely way. He jumps clean, nice and offensively. It is very well supplied, foteller NRK expert Johan Remen Evensen.

Gangnes number four

Kenneth Gangnes is third in the overall World Cup. Today ended the 26 year old just off the podium. Johann Forfang, Anders Fannemel, Joachim Hauer and Andreas Stjernen were respectively numbers six, eight, 15 and 17.

The biggest surprise however was the result of Prevc.

23- old had been the top three in 16 of the last 19 races his. Tonight led Prevc also after the first half, but ended then finally in fifth.

– It’s almost weird. I thought it was not quite what I saw, says Remen Evensen.

In the morning there is a team competition for the program in Finland.
