See the goals that sunk United in sports news at the top (start after 1:35)

Midtjylland – Manchester United 2-1:

Little Midtjylland surprised Manchester United took a shocking 2-1 win in the first 16- Finals Europa League on Thursday.

the Danes – who has not played regular game since December 4 last year – stunned United with aggressive play and awesome effort.

pioneer Sisto and Paul Onuachu was Midtjylland heroes each with its own goal, after Memphis Depay had sent United in the lead earlier in the game.

Basically of course not hopeless for United front leg with one away goal, but the loss helps unlikely for an already hard-pressed manager Louis van Gaal.

Van Gaal: – there was too much

After the match owed Dutchman on Murphy’s law, which says “everything that can go wrong will go wrong.”

Especially since goalkeeper David de Gea had to throw in the towel with a knee injury – of yet unknown extent – already on warming, and was replaced by Sergio Romero.

– This was Murphy’s law. When you start a fight and beat your’ve shirt number 14, then started you do not normally. There was a lot that happened in the heads of the players. In the first 15 minutes of the match were not good, but after that we came back and scored. We could have scored more, but then it becomes too much, he says in the official interview after the game.

– In the 2nd half we won no collisions or other balls. And you can not afford conceding a goal number two. But we could also scored. Jesse Lind Gard had including two big chances, says a disappointed van Gaal.

Carrick: – Unacceptable

United player Michael Carrick was also a beaten man after the game.

– This was not good enough. It was unacceptable. A performance that our result. It is simply not good enough. There must be much better, he said.

– We created some of our own problems. That was not good. We throttle in any way not enough after we scored. We had a chance to win the match and should have done it. We head home very disappointed now, says an embossed Carrick.

Midtjyllands matchvinner Onuachu admits he was surprised how helpless United actually was.

– I was expecting more from them. But we gave them something they had not expected, and it gave us a result. There will be no easy match in Manchester, but we shall do what we can. I hope we can win, says Midtjylland player in the official interview after the game.

– This was amazing. To get to play a game like this is a dream come true. We kept ourselves to coach tactics, gave everything and got a good result, says a lubricating bland Onuachu.

Romero prevented greater loss

And believe it or not, but the United wallpaper could actually been even greater.

had it not been for reserve goalkeeper Romero could namely Midtjylland won with a pair of goals.

the Argentinian sat as usual on the bench before the game, but had suddenly three wearing gloves when they Gea injured himself.

And Romero also delivered the goods. 28-year-old denied him with solid game and had a few feverish saves world in Herning.

The first came after eleven minutes and had nearly Gordon Banks-class about them.

The second rescue was 62 minutes, then Romero once again came “out of nowhere” and stopped Paul Onauchus powerful header on the line.

Belief in United-advancement

the second match played on Old Trafford on February 25, in which 1-0 will be more than enough to secure United’s advancement.

Both van Gaal and Carrick still have faith.

– Everything is possible in soccer. But we have the ability to beat them at home, and we must do, said van Gaal.

Carrick agrees.

– the only positive we can take with us today is that we still have the opportunity to rectify this. It is of course not easy, but we will play at home. We want to go further in this tournament. Now we need to get faith and flow back, he said.
