Rosenborg and Bjørnebye agreed a six-year deal – Adresseavisen

TRONDHEIM (adressa.no): When Stig Inge Bjørnebye went home to Oslo in the afternoon, it was with the agreement on a six-year contract in luggage. It tells a lot about how strong RBK management believes in the former RBK back who sports director.

Moves family to Trondheim

Bjørnebye is clear that he plans to remain long in Rosenborg this time.

– If it has gone wrong, he says and laughs.

Now move his whole family to Trondheim as soon as possible themselves do.

– This is a thoughtful decision, he said.

– I mean something with this. I’ve never been particularly triggered by path of least resistance, but I feel a very safe now. This feels right, and then I have taken inwards me what it means, says the former Liverpool full-back.



Got the fans against him

The previous sporting manager, current assistant coach Erik Hoftun got really notice what it means to have a prominent role in Rosenborg.

He received much of the fans against him, and have had to endure that it has been called after his departure from the stands at Lerkendal.

– It’s a pretty good punch in expectations here, and I think that’s fine. Rosenborg is a pride in this region, and therefore it is nonetheless has a strong will. The pride is there, and if it is wound is not that good, says Bjørnebye.
