Tutta to lead the big tournament in Canada – Aftenposten

Suzann Pettersen won for the first time in two years.

Suzann Pettersen struck with a bright strong finish and won the LPGA -Tours one stroke Sunday. The victory was her first in nearly two years, and the 15th on the LPGA Tour.

Tutta led before the last round, but got tough battle of Brittany Lang. America had today’s best score of seven under par, and led alone when she was finished.



Won by one stroke

On the pitch struck when Tutta with birdie on holes 16 and 17 and it gave her the victory with one stroke.

On the last hole played the Norwegian 34-year-old safe and secure, and decided the tournament with a short putt.

The victory is her first since victory in Taiwan in October 2013. It is also her first victory since she got legend Butch Harmon as coach last autumn.

Overall ended Pettersen at 22 under par. She walked past the round on three under.

She got a slight opening of the round and was two over par after five holes, but came back on par with birdie on holes eight and nine.



Looked to smoke

On the 12th hole catered Tutta up with an eagle, but the hole after came the current third bogey.

Just then the tournament seemed to fume, for simultaneously had long turned to with three straight birdies.

But Tutta dug deep and secured victory with two late birdies.

Colombian Mariajo Uribe was third, three strokes behind Lang.
