Kovács leaves estate – NRK

Veteran striker signing an agreement with Sarpsborg 08 out this season.

Wanted more time

37-year-old really wanted to end his career in Strømsgodset. But the desire to play football more often made that both parties agreed that it was most appropriate to replace grazing, writes Strømsgodset on their websites.

– Péter has been a fantastic player, real team player and a great ambassador and representative of the club. Strømsgodset has a lot to thank for Kovacs. I hope that Kovacs can look back on the time in Drammen with pride and honor, says sports director Jostein Flo.

Two periods estate

Péter Kovács has had two periods in Strømsgodset. He came from Viking summer 2006 and was involved in bringing the estate up in the Premier League. After the 2007 season he was sold to Odd, where he played until 2010.

In 2012, after two years in Belgium, returned to Kovács estate and Drammen again. This year he was top scorer in the Premier League with 14 goals in comeback season.

After he was an important piece in the 2014 season, it has become less time under David Nielsen and Bjørn Petter Ingebretsen year writes Drammen Tidende.
