To respond a furious Panama layer after semi-chaos – Dagbladet.no

(Dagbladet): Night semifinals in Gold Cup was eventful: Favourite USA smoke surprisingly out for Jamaica, while there was complete chaos between Mexico and Panama.

After taking the lead, it was two penalties to Mexico that was decisive and sent the nation to the final of the championship. One controversial, the second relatively clear. But still rages Panama players.

Among other national TV channel RPCTV posted a photo from the locker after the game, where Panama’s players hold up a banner, directed against the organizer, the North and Central -American Football (CONCACAF):

– Thieves! Corrupt! it is written over the banner.

Two penalties

Panama took namely lead against Mexico in the semifinals of the night. But the battle was turned and Mexico drew the longest straw after two penalty goals.

And the first of the two punished parks created violent reactions. Referee Mark Geiger gave hands on the first when a player fell and landed on the ball after a duel.

Players from both teams rushed toward the judge and chased him onto the sidelines. From tribunals were thrown objects such as food and garbage. Ten minutes went by to calm tempers. Mexico captain Andrés Guardado knocked the ball and equalized for Mexico.

A Panama player was incidentally also expelled in the first place.



– Why did this happen?

The fight went against extra innings. Der step further drama. Mexico was namely anew questionable penalty – this, however, quite clear. Again put Saved finish.

Panama coach Hernan Gomez also expressed his great disappointment after the loss. He calls goal for stolen and said he is carried upset.
