– Last year I went on an ever so slight bang here in these steep slopes, says Heidi Weng.

Weng opened cautiously, but the pressure on more and more the steeper slopes were. And when no one followed her.

The body worked well

She walked up the steep slopes from Lysebotn and Øygardstøl at 34.14, while she struggled in after 35.10 last year.

– The body functioned clearly better this year than last year, so the question is whether it is a good sign for me. I hope that all the training I’ve put so far should give good results when the ski season begins, she emphasizes.

Heidi Weng does not deny that the ground during the roller Lysebotn is by far the hardest workout she conducts during sommeroppkjøringen.
