Allen sent Liverpool into the final after insane criminal drama – TV 2

Liverpool – Stoke 0-1 (1-1 on aggregate – 6-5 after penalties):

Homemade Liverpool had the upper hand at Stoke before Tuesday’s second leg in the semifinals of the League Cup. Red Royen from Merseyside won the first match 1-0.

On overtime by half utilized Stoke the big holes in the Liverpool defense. Bojan received the ball out to the right and passed the ball to Marko Arnautovic who stood all alone in the box. From seven meters sat in front ball to be in goal. A real cold shower for the home team. Replays showed that the goal should have been disallowed for offside.



Had penalties to determine a winner

Liverpool went straight on the attack after the break and could easily have gotten count just a few minutes in half. Henderson defense cleared the ball to Firmino after a corner. From eight meters placed Brazilian ball way down to the near post, but Butland got a shot to a corner.

Liverpool continued to push the visitors which opened large rooms in the defense. While Liverpool had some forward was Stoke ditto dangerous on the break.

With 77 minutes played, Jon Flanagen ball when he stood all alone inside the Stokes field at the back post, but the youngster was unable to get to a proper termination and the visitors got stopped. As neither team managed to score in the final minutes ended it with extra time.

Stoke got an adventurous opportunity to take the lead just minutes before the first half of extra time was finished. Substitute Van Ginkel was flicked through by Peter Crouch, but unfortunately for Stoke hits the ball wide.

As neither team was able to determine that the extra-time had it all settled on penalties. Peter Crouch and Emre Can missed their attempts and the teams were equally far after five penalties. Thus Allen hero for Liverpool on the seventh penalty.
