With start number 1, she drove down to a clear lead after the first round in the slalom in Santa Caterina.

Swiss Charlotte Chable and Sarka Strachová from Czech Republic was closest.

Slovak Veronika Velez Zuzu takes advantage of starting early in the second half, and drove all the way up on the podium, for Chable failed to follow up the good first round her and failed just before the goal.

Strachová led then only Løseth remained on top.

Spjelkavik-girl just increased the lead down the track and drove into a superb victory. At the finish she was 1.12 seconds ahead Strachová.

Løseth thus took his first World Cup win of his career. On the podium did she celebrate with alpine skiing legend Alberto Tomba.

– It is absolutely fantastic. This is what we have worked for since you were little. I had to fight to hold back the tears as I stood on the podium. It was an incredibly good feeling to cross the finish line and see the green, says Løseth to TV2.

For it is not as often, “Yes, we love” played by woman warp as it has been recorded after Aksel Lund Svindal and the other guys have been in action.

– Wow. This is the national anthem of Norway. It’s quite long ago it has been recorded in the ladies side, she smiles.

nina løseth took 3rd place, Swedish Frida Hansdottir took 2nd place, while 20-year-old Petra Vlhova from Slovakia won.

Løseth meant she kept slightly again in the first place, but noticed that she had to drop more in the second half should it keep to victory.

– I saw that people gave more gas in the second. I felt I made a couple of mistakes on top, so I tried to push pretty good down here. On the surface I felt like I got out some good turns, but I had not really believed that it kept the victory, she says.

It was Norway’s first slalom victory World Cup since Trine Bakke won in 2000. andrine flemmen took the preliminary final Norwegian triumph when she won the giant slalom race in Soelden in October 2002.

And just Flemmen was among the many who howled with delight when she saw the race.

– I both screamed and was touched by the effort. Final! And well deserved by Nina says andrine flemmen to TV2.

Flemmen who is from the same skikrets as Løseth followed Ålesund-girl for many years.

– This shows that it is the most patient who makes it tilslutt.Hun is very strong in its position. This was also a trace that fits well Nina says Flemmen adding:

– It will probably not last victory in this season.

nina løseth hooked at the other gate and ran out during the slalom race.

nina løseth bet maximum and drove into his best position in the World Cup giant slalom ever.
