Phillip (18) is Norway’s new hoppkomet: – It’s a dream – Dagbladet.no

Phillip Sea was the weekend’s big jump king in Japan. 18-year-old soared Sunday into another victory in the Summer Grand Prix. Daniel-André Tande was number two.

For the second day in a row enthroned Sea on top of the podium in Japan Hakuba. Sunday’s triumph was the most superior. Bækkelaget-winning jumper with as much as 14.3-point margin.

Sea did jump of 129 and 134.5 meters in the Olympic ground in 1998.

– It is a dream that has come true. The jumps mine has been good throughout the summer, and that means a lot to me to compete at this level. I am very pleased, said Sea to the promoter by FIS victory.



Struggled in training

With Tande the second place took Norway’s another double victory in this year’s Summer Grand Prix. Andreas The star won ahead of Geneva in French Courchevel for a little over a week ago.

Tande made career best in jumping tournament with jumps on 129 and 135 meters. He got 249.2 points against 263.5 Sea.

– I am of course happy. It did not go so well in training, so it is fantastic to achieve such good results in competition. My last jump was incredible, said Tande.



Wide edge

Slovenian Jernej Damjan, who finished second Saturday, had to settle for third place during the last day in Hakuba.

Two straight wins have given Lake a solid head start in summary the Summer Grand Prix. In five of the nine races he leads by 95 points in twos Tande and Damjan.

The next race is in Kazakh Almaty on September 20. Summer Grand Prix ends in German Klingenthal 4 October.
