What do Premier League legends? – Aftenposten

Here are their tips for the season.

Premier League Saturday starting up again. Now shotguns advance tips from pundits around the world.

Last season was four teams, Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool and Manchester City in the battle for the championship, far into the spring. This season is expected in addition Tottenham and Manchester United will come back stronger after the appointments of the renowned coaches Mauricio Pochettino and Louis van Gaal.

So it is not surprising that scholars disagree about which team will away with the gold when we write in May 2015, we have gathered the predictions of several Premier League profiles.

Jamie Carragher

Games 508 league appearances for Liverpool between 1996 and 2013 Won including the FA Cup and Champions League.

Carragher gold tips: Chelsea

– They won nothing last season, but being so close in the Champions League and Premier League without a point to score regularly was amazing, says Carragher told the Daily Mail.

– I like Mourinho’s style. He has come in, had a year, looked at it and said that he needs a striker, a creative midfielder and left back. Therefore he obtains Diego Costa. So he picks Fabregas. Bang, done. Not many are better than him. And Filipe Luis, in my opinion, the best left back in the Champions League last season. Job done again.

Gary Neville

Fixtures at right-back Alex Ferguson’s Manchester United team. Won Premier League eight times and the Champions League twice. Now Roy Hodgson’s assistant at the English national team.

Neville gold tips: Chelsea

– If Costa supplies from the start I will say that Chelsea will win the league. Last season they were punished because they had a good enough tip. I expect Fabregas adapts immediately, because he has been in the Premier League before, and lived in London before, says Neville told Sky Sports.

Robbie Earle

Games for Wimbledon between 1991 and 2000, scoring 45 goals in 244 Premier League appearances for the club.

Earles gold tips: Chelsea

– It is two years since Mourinho won a trophy. With the players at his disposal, I think Chelsea will win the league, ahead of City. I think it will be difficult for City to win again, and I also think the Champions League is on the horizon for them. Liverpool think I come in third. I have great faith in Brendan Rodgers, he has some good young players. He is a oppsinnsom trainer in development. In fourth place, I have United. Van Gaal is a “game-changer”. There was a time last season when players do not fear United as they stood in the tunnel. I think van Gaal will change that, says Earle to the Guardian.

Phil Thompson

Stops at Liverpool team that dominated the 70 – and 80s. Was also captain towards the end of his career at the club.

Thompsons gold tips: Chelsea

– I think José Mourinho has strengthened certain areas without signing too many players. Cesc Fabregas will give him more targets, he realized he did not have enough people. Since Frank Lampard has gone, there was a lack of målfarlige players, and now he has someone who can replace Lampard. Diego Costa was sought, and he has a good attitude, so you know he will not give you a problem against inferior teams, when someone else might lack motivation, Thompson said, according to Sky Sports.

Martin Keown

played for Aston Villa, Everton, Leicester and Reading, but it was Arsenal stopper giant stood out the most. Won including Premier League three times with the London club.

Keown gold tips: Manchester City

– Favorites to league gold because they are stable. The club has a family feel. I remember seeing the first team see junior play last season – their wardrobe is a happy place, says Keown according to the Daily Mail.

Paul Scholes

Played 499 games for Manchester United between 1994 and 2013, won the Premier League eleven times and the Champions League twice.

Scholes’ gold tips: Chelsea and Manchester City

– I think the title is between Manchester City and Chelsea, and I think Manchester United, Liverpool and Arsenal will battle it out for the next two Champions League spots, says Scholes to the Independent.

Dion Dublin

Scored 111 goals in the Premier League during his career. Dublin played 155 games for Aston Villa between 1998 and 2004 also had an unsuccessful stay at Manchester United earlier in the 90s.

Dublin gold tips: Manchester United

– Van Gaal will bring back the fear that one must perform in when playing for Manchester United. I think many players thought that they would be put out of the team anyway. That will never be. I think David Moyes took the sparkle out of Manchester United. He tried as best he could, but when you take the motor out of the car, it does not. I think the impetus will come back. Therefore, I think United will be number one, number two City, Chelsea and Arsenal number three number four, says Dublin to the Guardian.
