Skiforbundet Fortsatt have not heard from Northug – Dagbladet.no

(Dagbladet): Today the message from the food chain that known Norwegian skier has signed a new agreement with Coop.

But per. date can not Petter Northug go VM for Norway.

– No contact with Petter

To be able to go for the national team and go in Falun must Northug sign the representation agreement with the Norwegian Ski Association – where he signs that he must follow the association’s rules what concerning, among other sponsors.

-General of the federation says to Dagbladet that whatsoever has been no contact with Petter Northug regarding this contract in the past – while known Norwegian skier has worked off their new agreement with Coop.

In last year signed Petter Northug representation agreement with the Norwegian Ski Federation as late as November 13. Then he included two free periods during the season: where he could represent Coop.

This year Ski Federation tightened, and especially two requirements will affect Northug and his coop agreement:

Northug will not be allowed to carry advertising for the season Coop, and Coop is not allowed to sell Northug products in store in season.



Nothing has changed

Opsal say their demands in the representation agreement is not changed anything after that today was clear that Northug has signed a new agreement with Coop.

– The fact that Peter has signed Coop Agreement does not change anything in any agreement between him and the Ski Federation, and the agreement will remain as it has been mentioned earlier, underscores the Secretary General.

He said Northug has until November 1st upon himself to decide whether he will go and World Championships.
