Azar Karadas (34) has signed a new one-year contract with Brann. The veteran goes on its ninth season for a club from Bergen.
– I want to help ensure that we will have a good season. Although I have been 34 years, I feel clearly that I have something to contribute. It’s about being hungry still, and it is I, says Azar Karadas told the club website.
According to fire statistics are the veteran of 178 matches and 36 goals for the club. Karadas got Fire debut in 1999. Since then he has visited Rosenborg, Benfica, Portsmouth, Kaiserslautern, Kasimpasa and Sogndal, before he in 2014 returned “home” to Bergen again.
Eidfjord No played 27 matches in the promotion season last year, but only five of these were from the start. Nevertheless, the team confident that the 34 year old will be important in college comeback.
– Through their contributions last year did Azar earned a new year. He makes a difference both on and off the field with his experience, calmness and professionalism, says sports director Rune Soltvedt.
Karadas says ten caps and one goal for Norway.
