OSLO / Toblach (Dagbladet): After resting yesterday continued the Tour de Ski today and the big question before the unusual distance for guys – ten kilometers – was about Martin Johnsrud Sundby could backfire after he failed miserably Wednesday.
In short: He could.
Sundby had 47.2 seconds down to Petter Northug and 1.09,4 down to Sergey Ustiugov before today’s stage. During the ten skate kilometers today increased his lead.
Super-Krogh
Sundby was admittedly off Finn-Hågen Krogh, who went one of his best races ever in the afternoon .

Northug lost from start
Martin Johnsrud Sundby started tough against 2.1 kilometers, and from there he painted further. It was early obvious that Petter Northug had a tough day, and he was 12.9 behind Sundby already after 2.1 km.
The one who was very fastest from the start was not any of the Norwegians, but Russian Sergey Ustiugov, located on the 3rd place overall.
The Russian led there 1.1 seconds ahead of Sundby and further tenth ahead of Finn-Hågen Krogh.
Martin Johnsrud Sundby went technically controlled and continued with a good pace for passage by 6.7 km. Where he increased the lead to Krogh by one second.
Meanwhile unable Ustjugov to follow up. The Russian was 6.7 seconds behind Sundby by 7.3. Petter Northug continued to lose, but not as much as one might think after 2.1. Northug was “only” 17.3 after 6.7 km.
