Girls team lost 1-25, now hailed coach after touching Facebook posts – Aftenposten

Getting attention also abroad. Read chosen reaction after the brutal loss.

After J14 layer to Emblem had lost 1-25 against Aksla Wednesday let coach a message on Emblem Football Facebook page.

“The weather forecast predicted stormy weather and heavy precipitation – and they were right. Cold and nasty weather! Ten seconds it took before the visitors scored 1-0 goal. When 70 minutes had passed stood 25-1 to Aksla. The away goal scored every three minutes – and it rained – and it blew. 1-25, finally, “wrote coach Per Gunnar Hamnøy.

And further:

” Fire supporters sing (rightly) “even if we lose, we are the best.” We can Emblem also say – not to win football games, but we are best to join! This is consolation when it is 1-25 on the scorecard. We are best to lose and best to participate. And for us coaches and adults is the word DELTA is most important! Oh yes, we are frustrated when we lose and when we fall short, and so we are overjoyed and proud when girls win! But for us coaches is there anything else that is important – and that is that you participate girls! By participating you get exercise, fresh air, cohesion, experiences, learn to respect; and to respect, sharing joys, share defeat and so I could still “.

Sunnmørsposten publicized case first. Facebook post is liked and shared many times.

– I felt it was time to write something to cheer them up. I went home, wrote this and let it out on the Facebook group for girls. The response came immediately from them. Then I got a call from football group Emblem IL to add post out there. After that it has taken off, and it is obviously very nice. Even parents of the girls who crushed us yesterday, supporting us in the comments, saying Hamnøy Dagbladet.
