Riise races after fierce tackle on little brother: – Scandal! – Aftenposten

Strong reactions after Marcus Hansson tackle on Bjørn Helge Riise. Brother John Arne find it inconceivable that the Tromsø player was not expelled.

Alfheim / OSLO: The situation arose at the very end of the 1-1 showdown between Tromsø and Lillestrøm.

LSKs Bjørn Helge Riise received the ball on the 16-yard box, but the ball a little far ahead.

When put Marcus Hansson into a powerful tackle. With straight legs and knobs first he jumped and hit Riise.

LSK player clearly got hurt and was lying on the turf mat and squirm in pain, until he finally had to leave the pitch. Hansson received only a yellow card for the situation, but probably would card had a different color.
  • See video of the situation at the top of the article and judge for yourself (NB Aftenposten reader? Watch video at iTromsø here)

– Sole Clearly red

– For me it is an obvious red card. He comes at great speed with straight legs and feet, and hit unimaginably high on the leg. As I interpret it is not doubt, says Bjørn Helge Riise to iTromsø adding:

– Ugly tackles happens now and then, and we argued a bit during the match. When I looked up after the tackle he smiled at me, so he was certainly happy with the tackle.

Riise gets support from former top judge Per Ivar Staberg, now Judge expert in TV 2.

– Bjørn Helge Riise has completely right in my opinion. He comes in with great speed and both legs. Chances of getting injured is relatively large. Now it came too, but it is the tackle that is so fierce that he should get red, says Staberg.

One that goes even further, Bjorn Helge brother John Arne Riise.

– Simply scandal

“That Marcus Hansson not get a red card for the tackle? Is it possible !!! “writes the former Liverpool player Twitter. And continues:

“Simply scandal !!!!!!! If the judge does not turn into such tackles there are many careers that are in danger !! “.

After the match adds match official Brage Sandmoen fold flat to VG after watching the episode again on video.

– There should be a red card. It is more violent than I thought, but there and then it went very fast, says Sandmoen VG.

Marcus Hansson believes his side it was right that he escaped with a yellow card. The Swedish midfielder says he held back when he saw he came late into.

– I hit a wrong ball and go 100 percent in order to win the ball. I try to keep a little again, and the judge are right give me a yellow card. I hope he was not hurt, says Hansson.

Nor TO coach Steinar Nilsen believes the situation deserved nothing more than a yellow card, and also believes that TO should have had a free kick just ahead.

– I experience first and foremost that it is bad by the judge that he did not judge free kick to us when Zdeněk Ondrášek are directly grated over in a positive direction for attack us. So, it becomes a challenge for the where I think Marcus is rightfully yellow card, but it’s not anything more than that, says Nilsen.
