Solbakken renews F.C. Copenhagen – TV 2

Ståle Solbakken has extended its contract with FC Copenhagen (FCK) with two years until summer 2018. It reports the club on its website.

– He has FCKs DNA in the body, and we are convinced that Brett is the right man to lead the club to new major sporting experiences and results. He knows the club identity and has previously built up something big here. He is in full swing to do again, and now the necessary continuity assured, says FCKs Director Anders HORSHOLM Holt.

Solbakken won the league championship with FCK playing in 2001 before he repeated now who trains five times in the six years in his first term in the team between 2005 and 2011. In addition, he has led the club to the group stage of the Champions League three times.

– I have a common history with FCK, which is a part of me – just like I am part of the club’s history. I look forward to writing new chapters, said Solbakken.

In 2013 turned Solbakken back to FCK, and in 2014 he became sports director in addition to manager. In his new role has 47-year-old made major changes to both squad of players and support.

– We are already well on their way back to the top, and I’m sure that we can only be stronger. I am dedicated to FCK and the people here. Now we have laid the foundation, so I look forward to an exciting continuation with lots of good experiences, says Solbakken.
