The unresolved situation with Ski Federation can drag out for several months.
TRONDHEIM (adressa.no) Contrary to what Ski Federation desired Northug get opportunity to promote Coop throughout the summer. It may be the result of national leadership Friday chooses to omit skiesset from the national team, yet not close the door for him to winter.
While Ski Federation has previously been quite clear that the best runners will be taken out to national team, and that they will have to accept to be part of the team from May 1st to go World, it now appears to go against a new exceptional year for Petter Northug.
Via its Manager Are Sorum Langås he presented Thursday his plan for next season for cross-country chief Skinstad. Langås will not divulge the details of it, but in that Ski Federation still represents situation unresolved, everything suggests that VM king of Falun want to go World also winter.

After Thursday’s meeting was not set any date for new talks between the parties, but Skinstad expects to have a chat with Langås again on Friday, on the basis of the strong media attention after Thursday’s meeting.
– It hardly comes forward new elements. We will take some ceilings on both sides, he said.

Uphill in Trondheim
The relationship between Northug and Ski Federation has been filled with conflict in a long time. After he nearly two years ago announced that he would break with the national team, it has repeatedly stormed around 29-year-old.
In last season he got several free periods in winter to profile Coop, which is in direct competition with FIS sponsor Spar. This season was the practice tightened. Northug did however dispensation to promote their own sponsors until November. After skistyrets decision last year this would be impossible this year.
Now challenger Northug Ski Federation again, and with the four gold medals from Falun Championships he has stronger cards in negotiations than ever.
Self is Northug training in Trøndelag. On Wednesday evening, he participated in Fjellseter race in Trondheim. Skinstad see no problem in that Northug not even participating in the talks.
