FIFA General Secretary Jerome Valcke, has been laid off from his job, and has been stripped of his duties with immediate effect.
The International Football Association announced a short message that it has become aware of several allegations regarding Valcke behavior, and that the union has asked its ethics committee to investigate them, type NTB.
The news comes just hours after British Guardian claimed that the Frenchman has been involved in fraud that has gone on to sell World Cup tickets to more than market value, and to have helped to share profits.
The allegations have been refuted by Valcke. According to the English newspaper is a consultancy that was offered an agreement with FIFA to sell tickets to the World Cup in Brazil in 2014, but the contract must tendons have been terminated.
Jerome Valcke has been Sepp Blatter’s right hand in FIFA and have been general secretary since 2007.
