- It is Coop which directs this – Dagbladet.no

Ullevaal Stadium (Dagbladet): When Skistyret weekend withdrew the offer Petter Northug got to promote his private sponsor until start of the season at Beitostølen in November, they sent simultaneously issued a press release where they went straight into the throat of them.

In a separate section of the press release writes Norwegian Ski Federation about Coop’s role in the dramatic turn of events, where tilbektrekkingen of national supply results in Petter Northug currently are banned from participating in the World Cup in Nordic skiing.

“The sports movement and the cooperative movement are our two greatest people movements worldwide. Both are built on community tank and community solutions. For this reason, the Norwegian Ski Association very surprised that it is precisely Coop that challenges the Norwegian national team model, a model that aims to make Norway to be a nation of skiers, but also the world’s best ski nation. “Wrote Ski Federation, without Coop has responded other than that this is a matter between Petter Northug and connected.

Coop auspices

But it is no longer there. When the Norwegian Ski Federation is so powerful attacks Northug main sponsor, while cooperative accusations made in an attempt to demolish the Norwegian model, they are automatically part of the case.

– We do not want to comment on that, writes communications director at Coop, Bjørn Takle Friis, in an sms to Dagbladet today.

It seems FIS Secretary General, Stein Opsal, is strange.

– Yes, get well Coop answer, but we observe that they have remained passive until now. In our opinion it is quite obvious that they have a key role. It’s those we meet, so it is clear, the directing this, and they pay it, saying Opsal Dagbladet.

Refuse to comment

According Opsal requires Northug allowed to go in and out of the national agreement through the season so he can profile Coop also during the winter. All Petter got, but now withdrawn, giving him only allowed to profile Coop until the season starts in November.

– Do you feel that it is Coop that the requirements of this in meetings with you, Opsal?

– I will not say much about. I note that the two together have an ambition greater freedom for its market operations, but who is the driving part where I do not have an idea.

When Dagbladet asks Takle Friis about a comment that it is Coop that pops in meetings with FIS, and that they therefore have a very active party to the case, their response is that it has been Throughout this week.
