Jacobsen retires Molde director. Neerland takes over – Dagbladet.no

(Dagbladet): It was speculated that it was a new coach who was presented when Molde today invited to a press conference at the Aker Stadium.

Instead, it was announced another change in management:

Tarje Nordstrand Jacobsen finished as CEO of Molde. Øystein Neerland enters his position. Neerland is currently Chairman and director of Molde FK.

– We want to thank Tarje for a long and good service. This is 100% Tarja own choice, and this he advised me for at least a year ago. It gave us plenty of time to think about who should replace him, says Chairman of Molde Fotball AS Leif-Arne Langøy.

Neerland is appointed on December 1. He has been part of the board since 1998 and has played over 236 matches for the club.

– I have worked closely with Tarje all these years, and he knows eventually well. Also his capacity and his untiring work for the club. When this opportunity arose, I think carefully about it and decided to say yes. Molde FK have a good platform and a lot in and around it. We are ready to develop the product further, says Neerland.

Molde are also working to put in place a new coach. The process did not trio to comment on the press conference.
