Alexander Kristoff (27) sprinted into the season eleventh victory in the Belgian semi-classic Scheldeprijs.
Wednesday triumph comes just three days after Team Katusha -rytterens impressive victory in Flanders around.

In the race from Antwerp to Schoten, who went without among others André Greipel, Mark Cavendish and Marcel Kittel, it was as expected mass sprint. The “timed” Kristoff perfectly and was again unapproachable the final meters.
– I was tired, but now form so good that even though I’m tired, so I win, says Kristoff VG.
Edward Theuns and Yauheni Hutarovich were riders to northern man in sprint. After a dramatic ending with a mass overturning hailed 28-year-old teammates in Team Katusha.

– We were perhaps a bit far behind with one to two kilometers left. So they (help riders journ.anm) a good job to bring me forward. I was in perfect position on the last 500 meters and could start whenever I wanted. I felt tired, but because we had to spend a lot of effort to get us in position on the last two kilometers. I was not sure, but eventually I saw that I had to pass someone. It was an amazing feeling, says Kristoff in victory interview.
Cannondale-Garmin rider Kristoffer Skjerping ended at 20.plass in Wednesday rides.
Kristoff concludes the spring season with TV2 sent Monument Paris-Roubaix Sunday. There are naturally Team Katusha rider considered one of the favorites to win.
– I hope to continue winning series, but Roubaix is different, and I’ve had problems there before. I do not see myself as one of the biggest favorites since I have not performed so well there in recent years, but we will try, says Kristoff.

Avoided mass overturning
While Kristoff cheered for victory at the finish in Schoten, lay a number of riders on the asphalt a few hundred meters further back. Shortly after the field passed mile mark went namely a bad crash at the main field. Several riders DEIS in the pavement, but Kristoff was located far enough advance to avoid accidents.
– We had just come our way before the crash, so it happened behind me. But I heard it very well. There is little winding here, so it’s always a bit dangerous. But it is cycling – it is always dangerous, says Kristoff.
The victory in Scheldeprijs makes Kristoff to a historic rider. No one has previously won three day race De Panne, Flanders and Scheldeprijs in a week. It writes Infostrada.
