Fevennen: Mjelde finished in Start – Dagbladet.no

Mons Ivar Mjelde will agree with Start “that it is not appropriate that he continue as head coach,” reports Fædrelandsvennen.

It ruled Friday confusion about Mons Ivar Mjelde will lead Start of the season.

According to the local newspaper was Fædrelandsvennen Start Director Even Øgrey Brandsdal in talks with coach Mjelde in Bergen Friday.

Brandsdal has not replied to the local newspaper’s inquiries. According Fædrelandsvennen is likely that Mjelde meetings at a press conference Monday.



Took time off

Mjelde has free in connection with international games and is home to Østerøy outside Bergen this week.

– Mons is coach for Start. There we relate to, said Brandsdal to Fædrelandsvennen if it is going to happen (around Mjelde) Friday.

– Is he out of season too?

– We relate to it. He has contracted out the season.

Brandsdal has not confirmed Mjelde talks Friday to the local newspaper. He replied “no comment” if something happens on the Start Friday.

Lousy form

Start standing with seven straight defeats in the Champions’ League. The club has thus mess into the relegation zone.

Southerners have not won in the series since July 4th. 47 years old Mjelde took over as head coach in Start the summer of 2011. He is the longest serving coach in the club since Brede Skistad early 1990s.
