NFF president opens to pull Norway out of FIFA – Romsdals Budstikke

ZURICH (aftenposten.no): The disappointment was great in the Norwegian camp when it became clear that their candidate, Prince Ali lost the presidential election of Sepp Blatter.

Yngve Hallen was ahead of the congress diplomatic and gentle in your approach. Now the gloves thrown.

He says the NFF (NFF) together UEFA (European football) going to ask tough requirements for FIFA management in the future.

Otherwise is accepted, it may be appropriate to withdraw from FIFA for a period.

Requires new presidential election quickly

The European countries might boycott the FIFA World Championship, and instead arrange an open European championship.

– We have to get through many of our demands. This is a very bad result for football, says Hall.

– First, we will come with some strict requirements of FIFA. Will not that be heard, we must use more stringent measures. Such as pulling UEFA nations out of the World Cup.

Considering pull Norway out

– Could it be appropriate that Norway withdraws from FIFA?

– If UEFA believes it is appropriate to do so, in anticipation of that you get cleaned up and put in place a new management, so we set us on that, says Hallén.

One of the first requirements is that it is being held again presidential election long before it was originally to be held in four years.

There are new FIFA Congress as early as next year, and it may be necessary to require new presidential elections already then.

The Hall is pleased that it appears that the South American countries voted with the European at Prince Ali. The two continents have half the board members of FIFA. This makes them believe that they can get real weight behind demands.

– We will do everything that we now have a change, if we have to adopt the strongest instruments we have, says Hallén.

Norway’s representative in the UEFA Board, Karen Espelund told Aftenposten that Prince Ali’s 73 votes, shows that opposition to Blatter’s great.

Espelund: – We have highlighted what we stand for

– How strong was the belief in victory (for Prince Ali)?

– We had faith and we worked hard to achieve it. It was important that Blatter did not win in the first round. There we managed. It shows that Europe has probably been heavy among the 73 voices, but that it also has been considerable with critical voices in other parts of the world. We know that there have been critical voices in South America, in Australia, and it has also been African countries, although the majority of Africa have obviously been on Blatter says Espelund – and continues:

– We made an effort and highlighted what we stand for. We did not make it and must take note that the majority of member states want to continue with what we want to change.

– Yngve Hallen says it may be necessary to require new presidential election until four years have passed.

– It may be one of the conclusions. I do not think corruption case is final yet. Also, because the US authorities have determined that it is going to Trulle and go. It may be that a situation arising that allows us to think radically different as well in that context.

– Is it true that you hope that there are more revelations?

– For football’s part, I hope not. It is truly awful to get certified, and would be even more imbued then it is just desperate. Therefore I say that we hope for football’s part that it is not. Yet I have anxiety about it, it is suggested that there is more. Then you can draw the consequences of it. That’s certainly not something that strengthens the re-elected management.

– Is it frustrating to be football politician on such a day?

– Yes, really! Because it draws so many negative forces. It’s not what you will be doing, you want to provide more boys and girls the chance to play football, you just love to be involved in developing football. It’s desirable that it was highest on the agenda, and not this game and suspicions.
