- Denmark was more desperate than us – Aftenbladet.no

Norway’s goalscorer was just infinitely disappointed after defeat to Denmark.

OSTRAVA: When Denmark took the lead early in the first period, tying Ken Andre Olimb equalizer barely two minutes later. Just then, the settlement between Norway and Denmark both smoothly and Norway looked as if they were coming out after the quick Danish management. But it did not. Norway was to let in three goals to. It was a miserable loss to nemesis Denmark.

In the interview zone under tribunes in CEZ Arena came one unhappy Norwegian player after the other. Not a hint of smile. Only sweat and disappointment. Not least by Ken Andre Olimb.

– I do not know, I do not quite understand what went wrong, he says. It seemed like he lacks the words to describe what he had experienced.

– Denmark seemed more desperate than us, ‘he said when he had gathered little.

Do not lose the lack of effort

Not only Norway had lost against a team that they hate to lose courage, they had lost in a way that they liked very poor. Norway is now absolutely no chance of a place in the quarter-finals, and they have neither the opportunity to be relegated.

Jonas Holøs, Norway defender fight, nor did exactly what it was he had been through.

– We’ll go out in every game and fight. We should have the best innsatsten. Today Denmark wins the bet, and so should not we lose a hockey match, said Holøs and shook the helmet.

Was satisfied already

Holøs played a decent match, but at times it seemed just as if Norway forgot that they played for a quarterfinal spot in himself VM. Norway had won against Slovakia and Slovenia. The first thing a good hockey nation, the other a decent hockey nation.

– It almost seemed as if we were satisfied with what we had done so far in the championship, said Holøs.

Captain Ole Kristian Tollefsen joined also among disappointed Norwegians in the catacombs beneath the stadium.

– The Danes had more energy and we do not come up to the level of tension that we need to be.

– We would, but for our part, do not put the game. We do not win dogfights and rebounds, told Tollefsen ..

A little while at NHL level

Norway had a period of struggle where the total dominated. The first half of the second period was Norway superior Danes, but the puck would not go in.

– You can not play at that level all the time. Had we done it, we had all played in the NHL shortly. If we had set a target in this period, it had probably been a different outcome of the game, said Tollefsen.
