- Even Stevie Wonder can see that she is motivated – TV 2

– I’m hungry, I’m motivated, I know a frenzied joy by training. It is far ahead but the Olympics in Rio is obviously the major goal, says 27-year-old TV 2.

It was NRK that first publicized comeback to athletics star.

Christina Vukicevic has “cleaned up” in a sometimes turbulent relationship with his dad and coach, Petar Vukicevic. He is now in her coach.

– This light motivation long way off Christina, it is so visible that I had been Stevie Wonder or Ray Charles as I had seen it , says the coach.

– I would like to end my career on properly and I know that I have “more in store” than I’ve been lucky. There is a bit of why I will return to the top.

– However, it is enough to think that you will fight in the world?

– I know what it takes and until I decided to bet again there has been a maturing process. I moved to Bergen, where I became acquainted with a girl named Irene, we started training together and we had great fun together on training. After a while we got a training program which we followed, I noticed that it was easy and when I decided. I said “go”!

The known nesting runner and football player has been engaged for two years. Now wedding date was set.

– Quite frankly why did you in your prime as a performer?

– You, it is now I’m in my prime. However, it was a mixture of very much; lack of results, conflict father-daughter conflicts coach practitioner, all of this went beyond my motivation, and also my quality of life. It became no fun to train. I got enough. I simply lost the love of athletics.

– But, you bet again with my dad as a coach?

– We have had a long process of first and get piled on their feet a proper father-daughter relationship. Coach-athlete relationship is on another level. It is I who has handpicked dad to help me because I think he is the best coach.

– That she’ll have me back is probably a bit to do that Christina has been two or three years older, more mature and understand more what is required, moreover, I have worked with moderating myself so that we have a good tone, says Petar Vukicevic.

TV2 athletics expert understands Olympiatoppen reaction against Jays Ndure.

He said the course is a challenge to start again after a barely long stay. But after several months of training without injuries the conclusion is clear:

– This could go the way she wants.

Christina Vukicevic’s personal record 100-meter hurdles is 12.74 set in 2009. She realizes that she should run at least as fast in the Olympics in Rio.

– I should preferably during that time.

– Can you do it?

– I think that I can be better than I was. I’m hungry and really motivated and the glorious now is that I can train fully.

Christina Vukicevic has not decided when she will run his first race after stay but it gets during the summer. And basically for road towards Rio are encouraging, just listen:

– Stamina, resilience and strength are better than before I retired, now working on the hurdles and sprint, says Christina Vukicevic.
